Makeup storage and desk organisation

Hi there everyone for this post I thought I'd share how I organise and store my makeup and my desk setup.

Sorry about the bad quality of the pictures, it's taken on my phone as my camera isn't working at the moment! Anyway it has taken me a while to get my desk like this, and now I've become a bit OCD about everything being in the right place haha, I used to have everything put away in drawers but it annoyed me having to rummage around for everything on a morning, so now I have all my essentials out for easy access.

I made my nail polish storage from stacking DVDs, boxes and whatever I could find haha, so that there are different levels for all my nail polishes and I can see them! I got the idea from the acrylic units you can buy for these but they are so expensive!
Next is my lipstick holder, I got this from ebay for about £3, It houses 24 lipsticks or lipglosses and I really like this, just search for 24 lipstick holder on ebay if you want one :)

I keep all my go to products such as moisturisers, eyelash curlers, mascara eye cream etc in a box at the back, we'll actually it's a box lid haha, next I keep all my hair clips and bits like that in this little dish which is actually a soap dish but it was so pretty and reduced to 10p I had to have it! I wish I had bought more now actually I mean 10p!
Next I have my urban decay palettes
Then the pots I have for brushes were also 10p each( matalan sale)
I have a little box containing some hair products such as heat protector, hair serum etc and then in front of that some more hair products, the rest of my hair products are in the drawer in the desk, yes I know I have far too many!
Next is the clear drawers I have, in the top one I keep all my eye related products such as mascara, eyeliner, single eyeshadows,
The next drawer houses the rest of my lip products that aren't in the holder, these are mainly lipglosses
The last drawer houses all my face products such as foundation, concealer, blusher, bronzer etc

In Another drawer in my desk I keep all random bits and samples.

How do you store all your makeup?

Stila waterproof eyeliner set

Hi there how is everyone? All good I hope!
I've had a week off work and can't say I've done anything that exciting, the weather has been pretty horrible don't you think!?
Roll on spring and summer I say!
Anyway on with today's post! I bought the stila seeing stars smudge stick waterproof eyeliner set ( bit of a mouthful eh!) in the post christmas sales from space nk for £12.50 which I thought was such a bargain as I think it's about that much just for one alone? Never mind for 5!  I love stila as a brand I think they have a range of some lovely products and I'm so glad they relaunched! I had never tried their eyeliners though, usually when a product says it is waterproof I tend to not believe too much into this as I've tried numerous products that claim to be waterproof and they never are. So I wasn't too optimistic about these but how wrong I was!

These have a really smooth creamy texture and glide on like a dream, they are a
So really pigmented and one swipe is enough, they also have a beautiful metalic like colour to them, they all have flecks of shimmer/glitter in appart from angelfish.
As for staying power I applied the black one( stargazer) at 8am and at 9pm at night it still hadn't budged, no smearing no smudging nothing!
I also wore it out one day and it rained quite a lot and it hadn't smudged at all!

So far I have tried stargazer(black)Oscar fish(brown)tetra (plum)and moray(olive) the only one I've yet to use is angelfish( champagne pink)

Since I bought these I have become a convert from my usual liquid eyeliner, I just love all of them and I can create so many different looks with them.

I would definelty recommend these :)
You can still buy this set from boots for £25 which is still really good value seeing as though they are  £ 12.50 each anyway so technically you are getting 3 free!

Today's makeup bargains

Hi there hope you are all good, I've still got a bad back but ventured out to the local shops today as It was driving me mad being stuck in bed!

So I wasn't planning on buying anything but when I went into wilkinson I noticed a few bits of makeup in the sale section, I found this rimmel natural bronzer for only £1.39 reduced from £5.89! I thought this would be great for my holiday and for when the sun decides to show its face haha. I've never used this before so I'm looking forward to trying this out.

I also popped into boots which is a really small one, I had some boots vouchers to use and i found some things in the reduced section including rimmel apocalips in galaxy, I've been wanting to try these out for ages now so finding this for only £2.99 I had to buy it! I also picked up rimmel moisture renew lipstick in rose passion, this looks a lovely pinky red colour so I can't wait to try it,and it was only £3.14 random I know! Lastly I got a rimmel waterproof liquid eyeliner, I've had this eyeliner before but not the waterproof one so I hope it actually is waterproof,we shall see! This was £2.60 and then when I got to the till I found out they was on 3 for 2 aswell :)

So it's been a very rimmel kind of blog today haha

Jimmy choo flash

I received a sample of this from what's in my handbag which I must say was so beautifully packaged, even with my name on it!

Now I'm really not very good at describing perfumes at all! But I would say it is a floral perfume but not really girly if you know what I mean, it also has hints off of citrus, I think it's a really nice fresh smelling perfume which isn't too much or overpowering, it's definelty something I would wear.

Anyway go smell it at a department store because I think everyone will like this :)

Current bath and body products

Hi everyone hope you're all good, I'm stuck in bed with a bad bad, most likely caused by jumping around to example at his gig on Friday night haha.

So while I'm in bed I thought I'd do a post about my current bath and body products.
I always used to be a shower person until about 6 months ago when I found my love for a long soak in the bath, usually listening to a cd, it's just so relaxing!

So anyway onto the products

Naked melt away naked bath foam - I love the naked range it's supposed to be 97% natural which is great as it means there is no nasty chemicals in their products, this bath foam smells lovely its kind of a herby natural kind of scent so if you don't like these kind of scents this wont be for you however they do a bath foam called coco de mer which smells amazing its like that holiday kind of smell!
When I use this in the bath it makes my skin really soft you can actually feel it whilst you are still in the bath.
This is normally priced at £3.99 but its currently on offer at only £1 so get it while you can!
From the naked bodycare website

I also like to use oils in the bath, rather than paying for an expensive bath oil I just add a couple of drops of essential oils, I use lavender and neroli oils, neroli is great for relaxing, I got these from ebay  , I think the lavender was £0.99 and the neroli was £2.00 so much cheaper than buying a bath oil!

When I do have a shower I use elemis skin nourishing shower cream, I absolutely love this and it has nearly ran out now, I bought these from time to spa when they was on a 2 for 1 offer, this shower cream is by far the best I've ever used, it makes my skin really soft, it has a really rich creamy lather and it smells divine, i think it smells like baby powder which I love the smell of. It is quite a pricey product I think it is £21 for 300ml but it does last ages, I think one bottle has lasted me about 5 months as you don't need to use a lot, I would buy this again but I have ren rose onto shower oil to try next.

When I get chance or rather when I remember haha I use the body shop coconut body scrub, this smells soooo good which is the main reason I bought it, it's a really good scrub that isn't too harsh like some can be and it doesn't leave an oily residue either.

As for body products i normally use the body shop aloe body butter, I love the body shops body butters they are all really lovely, this one feels really nice and fresh and cooling on my skin, I can imagine it would be great to use as an after sun product, it's great if you have dry or sensitive skin.

The next product is a body lotion I got on sale from tk maxx called angels spa rich body lotion with lily of the valley and black mulberry extracts, it's actual an Italian brand I've never heard of. But it's really good, it's one of those body lotions that soaks straight in, literally within seconds, it's ideal to put on and go, I wish I could buy more of this because I absolutely love it!

This works products

Hi there everyone I'm still full of cold and feeling yuck but here's today's post about some this works products I got in the January sales, this works is a brand I have always wanted to try mainly to see if they actually work haha excuse the pun, i have seen many reviews on their deep sleep range so when I saw they was having a sale I had to get the deep sleep pillow talk set which contains the pillow spray and the stress less roller oil, it was only in the sale as it had a christmas sleeve which is crazy as it was £8 off,I also saw this clean skin cleanser and as I was running out of my liz Earle cleanse and polish I thought I'd give this a go as it was half price at £8.50

Deep sleep pillow spray - " a few spritzes of this sleep inducing blend of lavender and vetivert will help you slow down and unwind"

I spray this on my pillow before I go to sleep most nights, it smells of lavender but not off the overpowering granny lavender if you get what I mean haha, it lasts a long while and I can still smell it on my pillow the next morning, as to whether it works I'm not sure, I always have problems falling asleep and I don't think this made a lot of difference at actually helping me sleep, it did however make me feel more relaxed and I think it makes me breathe more deeply.
I don't think I would repurchase this again in the near future.

Deep sleep stress less - " clears your head so you breathe more deeply and stress less" I use this mainly alongside the pillow spray but sometimes just on its own. I roll some of the oil onto my temples and into my wrists before bedtime or just if I feel a bit stressed and I do think it works to make me feel calm, it also helps me breathe more deeper and more clearly, it's good for colds too, it has a delicate scent which is not overpowering at all unlike some oils.
I would purchase this again in the future.

Clean skin " non drying cream cleanser with rosé hip and olive oil, blended with essential oils of palmorosa, eucalyptus and frankincense for their balancing and antibacterial benefits"

I like the design of the bottle and the fact it has a pump dispenser so you don't wate product, the only downside is you can't see how much product is left so you have to guess oh well haha, as for the smell, I would say it has a herbal kind of smell and you can definetely smell the rose in it, I love rose scented products!
I use this mainly on a night time to take off my makeup, I smooth it all over my face and use a muslin  cloth to take it off with, it says on the bottle to wash it off with water but I prefer the hot cloth cleansing method as I feel it really takes away all the dirt and makeup from the day, I like the texture of this it isn't a cream like liz earles cleanse and polish it's more of a lotion but I like it, it is good at taking off eye makeup, it even takes off my benefit they're real mascara which I've found most cleansers can't get off very well. It doesn't dry my skin out either, it just leaves it soft and smooth and not at all greasy, It also doesn't break me out either like liz earles cleanse and polish sometimes can.

I would definetely repurchase this in the future however they have changed the packaging and it is now called clean skin gentle cleanser and reduced the size from 150ml to 120ml which is rather annoying as it is now more money for less product, but if you can get your hands on it I would definelty recommend it

Thanks

Sarah xoxo

Urban decay dangerous palette

Hi there guys I haven't done a post for a few days I've been full of cold :(
You know when you get those colds that you just don't feel like doing anything when you get home and you just wanna get in bed,
Whilst writing this post I'm currently listening to examples new album as I'm going to see him on his tour next Friday eek I'm excited... Anyway into today's post!!

I bought this urban decay dangerous pallette in the January sales as it was only £13!

I loved the idea of all the dark colours and the pallette reminded me of urban decays smoked pallette abit.
I already own the naked pallette and I use it a lot for neutral eye looks but I wanted some more darker richer colours to experiment with, I love the texture and pigment of urban decays eyeshadows they really are second to none and with the primer potion they last all day.

So onto the pallette, this contains 6 eyeshadows which I think are all limited edition.

Gravity - this is a medium dark purple colour with slight shimmer silver shimmer

Loaded - this is a deep emerald with slight hints of blue in, it has slight shimmer

Evidence - this is a deep navy metallic blue

Deeper - this is a golden bronze with very slight green tones in

Mushroom - this is a silvery metallic brown with slight shimmer

Ace - this is a blueish dark silver with slight shimmer

I really like all the colours in this palette and I think they are really good for an alternative to the classic smokey eye.

I particularly like the shade deeper, it is a really unique shade as it is bronze but gold and with slight moss green undertones.

All the eyeshadows in this pallette are really dense and rich and are really easy to blend, if you are looking for some different ways of creating a smokey eye or you just like dark shades then this is definitely for you!

You can currently get this for £17.45 at lookfantastic which is a great price :)

My current haircare routine

Hi there for today's post I am going to talk about products I currently use for my hair.

Andrew Collinge purity colour therapy shampoo - as you can see I've nearly finished this bottle, I got it from home bargains a while back, I think it was £1.75 or something, unfortunately I've discovered this product has been discontinued which is rather annoying considering I actually love it! With most sls free shampoos they don't foam up much and I feel like I have to use loads, but this is the opposite, also it doesn't leave you with that squeaky clean feeling like some shampoos, unless you like that of course, but it makes my hair so soft and I only need a little bit of conditioner afterwards.

Ren provitamin conditioner - this is only a small bottle as I have several small bottles as it was cheaper to buy than on full size one haha, anyway I love this stuff, mainly because it doesn't contain silicones. Now you would expect it having no silicones would mean it doesn't make your hair as soft but it actually does make it very very soft. If you don't know about silicones you will know if your conditioner has it in as when you rinse out the conditioner it feels really slippery, Pantene is the worse for this!
Anyway I will keep repurchasing this until I find something just as good.
This is priced at £16 for 300ml from the ren website.

Jo hansford intensive masque - I got this in the latestinbeauty beauty advent calendar, I use this once or week or when my hair is feeling dry, it has a lovely smell like mandarins, I leave it on for about 10-15 minutes and then rinse it out, my hair always feels and looks nourished after using this, this product is quite pricey I think it is £27 for 150ml so I would not repurchase this in the near future.

Tigi sleek mystique haute iron spray - I used to use Lee Stafford's straightening mist but I did find the scent a little too much so I invested in this one a few months ago, after blow drying my hair I spray this on in sections as I straighten my hair, sometimes if you spray too much on it makes your hair a little oily, this is because it is an oil spray so you have to be careful with  how much you are spraying on bless you want to look like an oily mess haha. I find this works well at stopping my hair from getting singed. I don't know if I would repurchase again however as I think I will look for a non oil spray next time.
This is priced at £8.35 from cheapsmells .

Tigi sleek mystique blow out balm - another product from the sleek mystique line, I use this on damp hair before blow drying it, mainly on the ends of my hair, it seems to make blow dryng easier and afterwards my hair looks smooth with minimum frizz, it also makes my hair really shiny. You only  need one pump of this at a time so it has lasted me at least 6 months and I am only about half way through the bottle so it is good value for money
This is priced at £7.45 from cheapsmells.
